I love working with first time home buyers! It can be fun,
exciting and nerve racking all at the same time. Here are some tips to help you
as you begin this fabulous home buying journey.
First, work with a great agent. This is imperative for your
search. It is important that you have someone advocating for you as you make
one of the biggest purchases of your life! A great agent will work with you to
find the best home at the best value, and make sure you have security in the
transaction. They also have resources to lenders, contractors, inspectors and
much more. Second, don’t be afraid to talk to your lender. This is huge
as you being the process of buying your first home. Make sure you know where
you stand on the financial side. Talk with them about your options like FHA vs.
conventional and down payments. Knowing
where you are is necessary to get where you want to go! Finally, what are you looking for? I always advise my
clients to think about the top five features your home must have. Take a few
moments to think about five must haves in your next home and rank them one
through five. This is a great starting line for your agent and a place for you
to begin your search. These will help
you know what home is right for you!

A home is not a home because of its room dimensions or the color of the walls. It is about how you feel when you walk through the front door, and the way you can instantly envision your life unfolding there.
This is about more than real estate. It is about your life and your dreams.
Thank you for spending the time in getting me into my new home! And for putting up with apprehensive me during the process. I am happy in my new townhome and although still getting settled in, I am enjoying it. Again, thank you for your knowledge of knowing how to put it all together with selling & buying. Everything worked as you said it would!
