What does Independence Day mean? FESTIVITIES, FIREWORKS, FOOD & FUN. 

July the Fourth is coming up. What can be more patriotic than having fun in the celebration of your country? If you are in town, let's spice up your holiday! 

Of course, what would call Independence Day without the fireworks. Minneapolis holds its annual Red, White and BOOM!. The annual two day festival is hosted on the riverside of downtown Minneapolis

Friday, July 3rd                                                     Saturday, July 4th 

6:15 pm: Kids Run                                            6:30 am: Red, White & Boom! TC Half Marathon Begins

6:30 pm: Hot Dam 5K                                      6-10 pm: Live Music and Family Activities        

7 pm: Live Music                                               10 pm: Fireworks

9 pm: Movie

Come and join the festivity by the lake this Saturday.

Hours are 11 am to 11 pm Thursday-Saturday and 11 am to 8 pm Sunday; admission is free until 1 pm, then $10. Kids 12 and under are free with an adult. Military, Police, Fire, and EMT Free with ID all day July 4th. 

Music begins at 11:30 am each day on the Taste Stage and 2:30 pm on the Main Stage. 

Get ready for one of Minnesota's most spectacular fireworks displays! Fireworks will be held on site Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 10:20pm. You won't want to miss it!

10:00am–5:00pm - Celebrate the nation’s independence as people did in the early 1800’s – cannon salutes, patriotic speeches, theatrical presentation put on by the fort’s soldiers, military dress parade, patriotic and military fife and drum music, historic games.
* Adults $11, seniors/ college students $9, children ages 6-17 $6, children under 5 free

11 AM - Infantry Parade / Musket Firing
11:30 AM - "Rounders" Game / Egg Races
12 PM - War of 1812 Mock Battle

Bloomington: Summer Fete
Bloomington's Summer Fete happens every year on July 3 at Normandale Lake Park. The 84th Street region will kick off with the Kids' Carnival Area at 5:00pm featuring more inflatable attractions than ever before with a few specialty attractions! The 84th Street Kids' stage, celebrating its seventh big year, will once again feature the best in family entertainment. Top off the evening with the annual Summer Fete fireworks display.
