How do you know when
you are ready to buy a home? This is a question I get a lot. Is it the right
time for me to buy? Has the market recovered completely? Will there be risks? All
these questions are very important and very relevant to your future purchase.
First I would say check with a lender. Find out where you
are approved at. This is the best first step. The lender will be able to give
you more accurate financial picture and be able to explain the different
options available to you. Please remember that you are information gathering
you are in no way obligated to use the first lender you come across. Talk to a
few and find out what makes them different. The next important step is to do some basic research. Get
online and see what homes in your area are selling for. This is a great way to
gage on a basic level where the local market is. You can also have a
conversation with a local realtor. Ask them about where they have seen the
trend going in the last year. We can give you some really great data on where
the market is coming from and where we expect it to be heading. And finally, in any large transaction there can be risks. It
important thing to remember is if you have a great lender and a great agent it
reduces that risk immensely. Having experienced people in your corner makes the
buying process easier and less off a risky endeavor.
So when you are asking yourself if now is the time to buy
remember there are many resources available to aid in your search!

A home is not a home because of its room dimensions or the color of the walls. It is about how you feel when you walk through the front door, and the way you can instantly envision your life unfolding there.
This is about more than real estate. It is about your life and your dreams.
Thank you for spending the time in getting me into my new home! And for putting up with apprehensive me during the process. I am happy in my new townhome and although still getting settled in, I am enjoying it. Again, thank you for your knowledge of knowing how to put it all together with selling & buying.
