You Won’t Need A Filter At This Beautiful Pink Lagoon In Mexico
Slap a filter on a photo of any landscape, and you can make it look pretty darn good. But, it’s rare that the real-deal is more stunning than an edited photo, but such is the case at this spot in Mexico, where there’s a beautiful lagoon in a gorgeous shade of pink.
Located in the fishing village of Las Coloradas on the Yucatan coast, this pink lagoon is part of theRio Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, and you’ll definitely want to take a photo in front of this amazing natural wonder.
The water gets its sparkling pink shade from tinymarine micro organismsthat contain beta-carotene. These organisms are what flamingos feed on, which also gives them their pink color, and if you’re lucky, you might see some of the creatures when visiting the lagoon.
With all that pristine white sand beach and the vibrant pink water, you’ll definitely want to consider making a trip over to Las Coloradas for your next vacation.
