Cleaning out/upthe past year in order to be able to move forward without any baggage in 2016, will allow you to be more productive and to achieve at a much higher level.
Lets take for instance going out on a run and wearing a back pack with 80 pounds of last years to do's, unfinished projects, goals, old clothes, junk that you will never use and your past bad experiences; that would be very difficult to run, right? Now letsimagine during your run that you throw the back pack off and the weight gets lifted off your body; would you be able to run faster, farther? The same goes for life, if you keep hanging on to your past, your past will always be there in every single situation and in every moment holding you back and making moving forward more difficult.
You cannot control what has happened to you in the past, but you can control your future and what happens to you from this point on.
Would it not feel great to take the back back off and feel the freedom of doing what you have always wanted to do without having the burden of the past effect you.
Remember when you were a young child and did not know any better but to try out new things and keep trying them, even though you fail over and over again? You keep moving forward and going because no one has told you that you have limits and put limitations on what you can do.
Moving forward without letting anything hold you back will allow you to go to greater places than you have ever been before.
Break through all of the ceilings and when someone says, the sky is the limit; don't listen to them because there is a whole Galaxy out there that has not been explored.
"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
